High waist glow-in-the-dark skeleton leggings for women. The print appears white on the black base in daylight and transforms to vivid neon green in the dark. Two styles: skeleton hand across the hip, and skull vine cascading down the outer leg. Four-way stretch, moisture-wicking performance fabric. Built for Halloween, raves and any setting where the lights go down.
Most printed leggings look the same under any lighting. These do not. The skeleton print on these leggings uses a photoluminescent ink that charges in daylight and releases stored light energy in the dark as a vivid neon green glow. In normal lighting the print appears as a clean white skeleton design on pure black. Turn off the lights, enter a darkened room or step under UV lighting and the print transforms entirely, glowing bright neon green with an intensity that lasts for an extended period before requiring another charge from light exposure.
Two skeleton designs are available. The Skeleton Hand style places two large bony hands gripping across the seat and hip area. The Skull Vine style shows a skeletal hand at the hip holding a string of vines from which skulls hang and cascade down the outer thigh to the calf. Both appear as white line art in daylight and glow neon green in the dark. The plain black panels front, back and lower leg remain solid and opaque in all conditions. The performance fabric handles gym sessions, runs and yoga just as effectively as any other legging in this range. At £14.99 with free UK delivery, the glow-in-the-dark feature comes at no premium over the standard printed leggings in the collection.
How the Glow-in-the-Dark Print Works
The print uses phosphorescent pigment technology, often called photoluminescent ink. During the day, or any period under light exposure, the pigment absorbs and stores light energy. When the light source is removed, the stored energy is released as visible light in the neon green wavelength. The process is continuous: the print charges in light and glows in the dark in a repeating cycle without any batteries, power source or special treatment required.
The glow intensity is strongest immediately after light exposure and gradually fades over time in the dark before recharging again under the next light source. Exposure to bright daylight or artificial light for a few minutes is sufficient to produce a strong glow effect. This is what the product listing describes as “absorb sunlight storage” during the day and “glow in the dark infinite loop” at night: the cycle of charging and glowing repeats indefinitely throughout the life of the garment with correct care.
The phosphorescent pigment is embedded within the print ink rather than applied as a surface coating, which means the glow effect is built into the printed layer rather than sitting on top of it. This gives the glow longevity through washing that a surface-applied coating would not provide.

Fabric and Performance
The fabric is an 88% polyester and 12% spandex blend. Polyester provides the deep black base that gives the glow its maximum contrast: the neon green of the phosphorescent ink shows most intensely against pure black, which makes the fabric choice critical to the glow effect. The smooth surface also allows the fine skeleton line art to print with clean edges in both the white daytime state and the glowing night state. Spandex provides the four-way elasticity for comfortable, unrestricted movement during training and extended wear at events.
The moisture-wicking technology draws sweat away from the skin as it forms and evaporates it quickly. These perform as well during a gym session as they do during a Halloween party or a rave. For more on how the blend performs in activewear, see our guide to spandex blend performance fabric.
The Waistband
The waistband is high-rise, wide and features a ruched construction that creates a lifting effect at the seat. The ruching gathers the fabric inward at the rear centre seam, which gives the leggings a sculpting quality at the seat similar to the scrunch leggings popular in the activewear market. It holds flat across the front and does not roll or lose its grip during training or extended event wear. The high-rise position gives a smooth silhouette under fitted tops and keeps the leggings in place regardless of activity level.
What Are They Good For?
Halloween: The combination of skeleton imagery and glow-in-the-dark technology makes these the strongest Halloween legging option in the entire range. No additional costume elements are needed. The skeleton print works as a complete Halloween statement in daylight, and the glow adds the transformation element when indoor party lighting takes over. For more Halloween outfit ideas, see our Halloween costume ideas guide.
Raves and UV events: The phosphorescent pigment reacts strongly to UV lighting, which gives the glow extra intensity in blacklight conditions. At a rave or UV party the skeleton print will glow noticeably brighter and with more contrast than in simply dark conditions. This is the optimal setting for the Skull Vine design in particular, where the cascading column of skulls creates a dramatic vertical visual down the leg.
Festivals: The Skull Vine style in particular is striking in outdoor settings because the large-scale composition reads well from any distance. Whether the print is in its white daytime mode or the festival has UV or blacklight elements, these hold their own visually without anything else required.
Gym and training: The performance fabric handles gym sessions, runs and yoga with the same four-way stretch, moisture-wicking and squat-proof performance as any other legging in this range. The white skeleton print makes for one of the more visually arresting gym looks available at this price.
Night running: The glowing print provides genuine additional visibility during night runs, making these a practical safety choice as well as a visual one for early morning or evening outdoor running.
How to Style Them
- Halloween event: Plain black fitted top or bodysuit. The leggings carry the theme completely on their own. For the Skeleton Hand style the rear view is the statement. For the Skull Vine style, both the side and rear views show the full cascading composition.
- Rave or UV event: Black everything above the waist. In UV and blacklight conditions the less competing colour there is around the leggings, the more the glow stands out. A plain black crop top and the leggings is the most effective combination.
- Festival daytime: The white skeleton print on black works as a strong statement in daylight. A black crop jacket or oversized black top keeps the palette clean and lets the print read clearly.
- Gym: Plain black sports bra or fitted vest. The white skeleton line art against black is bold and graphic enough to carry a full gym look without any additional colour needed.

Size Guide
Measure your natural waist at the narrowest point and your hips at the fullest point before ordering. All measurements are in centimetres. Sizing is consistent across both styles.
| UK Size | Waist (cm) | Hips (cm) | Length (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| S (UK 6-8) | 60 to 64 | 74 to 78 | 87 |
| M (UK 8-10) | 65 to 69 | 79 to 83 | 89 |
| L (UK 10-12) | 70 to 74 | 84 to 88 | 90 |
| XL (UK 12-14) | 75 to 79 | 89 to 93 | 92 |
| XXL (UK 14-16) | 80 to 84 | 94 to 98 | 94 |
Allow up to 2cm variation due to manual measuring. For a tighter compression fit choose the smaller size. For more room around the hips go up a size.
Care Instructions
The photoluminescent print requires gentle care to preserve both the glow function and the line art quality of the skeleton designs. See our guide to caring for polyester clothing for full details.
- Hand wash in cool water. Machine washing is too abrasive for the phosphorescent ink layer and will reduce the glow intensity over time.
- Turn inside out before washing. This is the most important single step for preserving the glow-in-the-dark properties, as it prevents the print surface from friction abrasion during the wash cycle.
- Wash separately from other garments to prevent any dye transfer from the deep black fabric.
- Do not use bleach. Bleach will damage the phosphorescent pigment and eliminate the glow effect permanently. It also degrades the spandex fibres.
- Do not use fabric softener. It coats the polyester fibres and reduces moisture-wicking performance over time.
- Hang to dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight. While sunlight charges the glow, extended UV exposure from prolonged outdoor drying can degrade the phosphorescent pigment over time.
- Do not tumble dry.
- If pressing is needed, use a cool iron on the reverse side only. Do not apply heat directly to the printed panels as heat damages phosphorescent pigment.
